Selected for National CBSE science Exibition 2007

Faculty Higher Secondary School represented by Kirti Prakash and Soujanyaa Boruah, class XII Biotechnology students were selected as the topmost outstanding team, out of 53 contesting schools, in the Regional CBSE Science Exhibition 2007.

They were guided in this project by Mrs. Remya Iyer, HR person, Biotechnology department, Faculty Higher Secondary School.Their main theme was under food and agriculture category and model depicted the “creation of Transgenic Papaya plants resistant to Papaya Ring Spot Virus”.

Their presentation helped in creating general awareness amongst the students, teachers and layman about the usefulness of transgenic crops.The team got wide appreciation from everyone including the CBSE chairman, Mr Asok Ganguly.
