World Environmental Day 5th June 2011(Middle Section)
 
The whole world observers 5th June as the ‘environment day’. It is a red letter day in which numerous activities are undertaken by different organizations in and around the country to create awareness among the people on the issue of ENVIRONMENT.Hence, gravitating the importance of the day, Faculty Higher Secondary School, Middle section students also shouldered the responsibility of creating awareness by conducting various activities.This year the ‘Environment day’ theme was FOREST. Nature at your service. based on the theme, the students of middle section made posters and banners which were displayed on the school buses, campus walls etc. messaging the guwahatians to save our earth from environmental degradation. Moreover, students and teachers also made badges with logo of the theme and wore them throughout the day. Adding more charm, the teachers put on green attires as a dress-coat for the day.To make the day a small education cultural program was hosted on 6th June, Monday as 5th June was Sunday, at the auditorium by the students of middle section, where the trustee board members, principal, vice-principal and teacher incharge of all the section were invited. The program commenced with a chorus song by the students of class VI-B followed by a speech from class VII-A and class V-B. glorifying the program, there were two spits presented by class V-B and class VII-B respectively, giving the message to save environment. None the less. There was a dance with a song and recitation presented by the students of class V-A and class IV-A and B respectively. Navneet Das of class V-B presented a mono act with a theme –plastic as health hazard. Where, the whole program was anchored by Ankita Majumdar of class VII-A. conclusively there was a mime act presented by class VI-A. At the end of the day chocolates where distributed among the students as a token of love from teachers.
