Children’s day Celebration 14th Nov 2011(Middle Section)
The children’s day 2011 was celebrated with immense enthusiasm. The day started with the school assembly Being conducted by the teachers. During the assembly, the teachers spoke about the significance of the children’s day and stressed upon the importance’s of the vision of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Subsequently, pledges were taken by the students and teachers to work together towards reaching the standards Pandit Nehru dreamt of. These were followed by floral tributes paid to Pandit Nehru. Thereafter, the students were taken to their respective classes and the concerned class teachers distributed sweets as a mark of gesture. A special movie screening for children was arranged afterwards. The first of the famous trilogy ‘Home Alone’ was screened and was liked by the children. This was followed by an art competition organized by ISCON for children of class IV to class VII. The theme of the competition was ‘Life of Lord Krishna’. The day concluded after a special lip smacking lunch was served to the students. This marked as a perfect end to a grand celebration as the items in the lunch menu were the ones most sought after by the student community in general.
